RC&D FUNDING UPDATE
In light of the recent decision by Congress to eliminate the NRCS's funding for the RCD program, we wanted to let you know that Cascade Pacific RC&D is still open for business! Nationally, the RC&D 's were created by an act of Congress 40 years ago, and this recent budget action does not negate our existence. Instead, it elimates the federal funding for an RC&D coordinator and other contributions by the NRCS to the RC&D program.
Here at Cascade Pacific, we have been in business for nearly 25 years as a 501(c) 3 non-profit. We look forward to the future with optimism and renewed enthusiasm. As ever, our programs will continue to provide valuable assistance to farmers, ranchers, forestland owners and communities in our region.
ENERGY PROGRAM UPDATE
Cascade Pacific's Energy Program is starting our second year working with BPA and the local utilities to provide energy assessments and assistance to growers with utility rebates. These rebates cover mostly irrigation upgrades from nozzle and sprinkler replacement to VFD's, pumps, and full irrigation system replacement.
Recently the Energy Program gained two new Energy Analysts, Juli Brooks and Amanda Greena. If you have an energy efficiency needs on your farm let them know!
The energy program is proud to launch their new website: Ag Energy Nw. Click here to visit AgEnergyNW.org

CPRCD ANNUAL EVENT
Our 2011 Annual Event was a huge success! New members took a tour of the Luckiamute State Natural Area, listened to a presentation from Pam Wiley with the Meyer Memorial Trust, and enjoyed dinner at the Chatoe Rogue. This opportunity gave attendees the time to network, and celebrate. Click here to learn more.
