Cascade Pacific's 2011 Annual Event Celebration

Our Annual Event Was a Huge Success!

On October 20th, at the Chatoe Rogue in Independence Oregon, Cascade Pacific celebrated with friends, colleagues, and partners at our Annual Event. Good food, entertainment, and spirits helped to lighten the mood as participants toured the Luckiamute State Natural Area, and then celebrated into the night at the Chatoe Rogue Hops farm. We were honored to have our guest speaker, Pam Wiley from Meyer Memorial Trust, give a presentation on the strides MMT is making on improving our local watershed communities. This event was all about the accomplishments of 2011, and looking towards the future of Cascade Pacific.

In addition to general admission, all Annual Event Attendees received free Membership to Cascade Pacific RC&D. We would  like to extend a hearty thank you to all our new Members. We are happy to have you on board!

Luckiamute State Natural Area Tour

Peter Guillozet led a tour of the Luckiamute State Natural Area. Currently, Peter is the Project Manager for the Luckiamute Watershed Council, and oversees the fundamental pieces of this project. OWEB and Meyer Memorial Trust have funded major habitat enhancements and stewardship projects in this area. This tour provided the perfect opportunity to show off all the past successes of these projects. Attendees learned strategies for achieving successful riparian revegetation in grant appropriate timeframes as we toured a great piece of land here in the Willamette Valley.

Speaker Pam Wiley, Willamette Initiative, Meyer Memorial Trust

Pam Wiley gave a compelling presentation on the Willamette River Initiative. She has over 25 years of experience in the public and non-profit sectors and has spent a decade providing strategic planning, project management and facilitation services to a wide range of clients focused primarily on natural resource management, land conservation and environmental policy.

We here at Cascade Pacific feel honored that Pam Wiley could share her knowledge at our Annual Meeting.

Cascade Pacific Keep s Moving Forward...

Cascade Pacific RC&D continues to grow and expand. We have been fortunate to have great individuals surrounding our establishment, and this event gave us the opportunity to honor a few of those individuals. We were proud to honor employees, volunteers, and partners for their help in making 2011 a year to remember.

Our 2011 Annual Report was  presented at this meeting. This report outlines new projects, established projects, and the direction CPRCD is moving in, as well as introductions of our board members. To read this report, click here.

As we continue to grow and adapt, we understand that a fundamental element of  our establishment is our members.  We   would like to express our sincere appreciation for everyone who attended,   and for becoming a member of Cascade Pacific RC&D.

Cascade Pacific looks forward to another positive year of growth, and is excited to see where 2012  will take us! We hope to see you at our next Annual Event so that we may all share in our future successes.
